MOVING BEYOND THE JERSEY
What does your jersey represent? Who are you when it comes off?
Moving Beyond the Jersey gives athletes an opportunity to develop the person underneath it—to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, navigate change, and build a fulfilling life while they’re wearing the jersey and long after it’s hung up for good.
THE PRESSURE DOESN’T COME OFF WITH THE JERSEY.
Professional athletes are expected to:
-
- Win
- Perform
- Stay at the top of your game
- Stay healthy
- Protect your reputation
- Provide for the people you love
- Adapt to a new team and community
- Give back to your communities
- Manage changing relationships
- Navigate media and public attention
- Be ready to relocate at a moment’s notice
AND THEN THERE’S THE ONE THING EVERY PLAYER WILL FACE…
ONE DAY, THE JERSEY DOESN’T GO BACK ON.
Who are you then?
Moving Beyond the Jersey gives athletes an opportunity to develop the person underneath it—to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, navigate change, and build a fulfilling life while they’re wearing the jersey and long after it’s hung up for good.
